Football Stadium & Track
Warrior Stadium has served as the home site for Warren football games since its opening in 1960.
The renovated stadium, at completion, included a synthetic turf field, uprights and soccer goals, 8 lane track surfacing, visitor bleachers, stadium lighting, a field event area for discus and shot put, relocated scoreboard, play clocks, security fencing around the stadium perimeter, and a new access road to the field event area. One of the toughest parts of the project was expanding the track. The Motz Group used its civil engineering and industry expertise to cut and move the hillside next to the stadium by more than 50 feet to expand the school’s existing track. The finished product gave a newly resurfaced 8 lane track that provided more racing lanes for athletes, along with a new synthetic turf spectator viewing area on the hillside, outfitted with Envirofill to give fans a clean, lasting surface to watch from.
Now, thanks to the expertise of The Motz Group, the school has a beautifully renovated stadium to support its student athletes and offers a place that the whole community can enjoy.

Baseball

Located deep in the valley and bordered by the football practice field, the softball field, a large pond, and mature pines, the Baseball facility is a field of dreams.  The facility has undergone massive renovation beginning in 2014 with the installation of a new grass infield, followed by the construction of the Left Field wall and “hitter’s eye” in 2015 and the new backstop in 2016.  Recent renovations have included the construction of new bullpens, batting cages, new dugout fencing and several other cosmetic improvements.  A new 10-inning scoreboard and a deck and amphitheater-style seating behind the backstop are in the planning phase.

Golf Range

An on-campus range for the training of Warrior golfers helps set the Warren Boys and Girls Golf programs apart from its competitors.  Complete with turf tee boxes, range distance markers, a green and bunkers, this practice area, developed by Coach Nathan Evans, has elevated the skill level of the Warrior golfers.  Players can receive quality instruction from the coaches during their daily practice without relying on the challenges of securing a golf course for practice.

Oxbow Golf Course

Opened in 1973, The Oxbow Golf Course, named for the U-shaped curve in the Little Hocking River, offers some of the most wonderful golf in the Mid-Ohio Valley, and serves as the home course for the Warren Warriors golf program.  This 6,558 yard par-71 golf course was sculpted across rolling hills by architect Jack Kidwell, and presents a challenging golfing experience for players in its uniquely beautiful natural setting.  Golfers encounter water hazards on nine holes that include four lakes and a tributary of the Little Hocking River. Large undulating Bent grass greens, lush, well-conditioned fairways and multi-level tees are hallmarks of the course design.

In 2012, the Tanner family gained full ownership of the course and made major upgrades to the course to further enhance the golfing experience. Renovations included refurbishing the greens, bunkers and fairways, as well as improvements to the interior of the clubhouse, including new lockers.  New course maintenance equipment was also purchased to help maintain the course.

Soccer Stadium

Located on the most southeast corner of our campus, bordered by a pond and the Walls Family farmhouse and farm, is our picturesque Soccer Stadium.   The tract of land that is our current field was purchased from the Walls family in December 2002, and it has served our boys and girls soccer programs since 2005.  Field grading and the installation of drains, seeding and enhancing the natural grass surface, fencing, and lights were early priorities at the Stadium.  A dual concessions and second story press box, spearheaded by the efforts of Allen Mallahan and several soccer parents, was added in 2012.  More recently, a new scoreboard, sound system, team dugouts, and a protective net at the south end of the field have been added.  Facility branding and permanent bleachers are in the planning phase.

Athletic Training Room

The Memorial Health Systems Athletic Training Center is located inside Building 6 of Warren High School and serves as the treatment facility for Warren student-athletes. Staffed by a certified Athletic Trainer from Memorial Health Systems and interns from local universities, the facility houses equipment for the treatment and prevention of injuries and a work station for the Warrior sports medicine staff.

Mini-Gym/Wrestling Room

This multi-functional room, added as an addition in 1974, is located just off the gymnasium and serves several of our programs, including physical education, cheer, football, baseball, softball and wrestling.  During the winter sports season, this 3,250 square foot room, serves as the designated Wrestling practice area for our Wrestling program.

Warrior Strength and Fitness Center

Spearheaded by the efforts of Roy Ollom, Jerry Offenberger, Tony Baumgard, and some dedicated parents and members of the District, this nearly year-long construction project was a true labor of love. Completed in 2001 and financed by Athletic Booster Club funds and private donations, the Warrior Strength and Fitness Center, a 50’ x 70’ room housing strength and fitness training equipment, offers a first-class training facility for our students, athletes, staff, and the community.     Equipped with a composition rubber floor, 12 rack systems, bars, plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, various other cable machines, and a dedicated 30’ x 30’ cardio room equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and other training accessories, the spacious facility is one of the best high school training centers in Ohio.

Warrior Gymnasium

Since its opening in 1960, Warrior Gymnasium, referred to affectionately as the “Warrior Coliseum” by public address announcer Fred Ruth, has been the primary hub for physical education classes, activities of student and school organizations, and the competition venue for the sports of basketball, volleyball and wrestling. The 900 seat facility has been the site of many huge wins and outstanding performances in front of capacity crowds, especially in basketball throughout the years.  Recent upgrades to the facility have included floor refinishing in conjunction with our new logo and branding initiative, installation of new wall pads, painting, new scoreboards, and a sound system.   LED lighting is in the planning phase.

Softball

Located adjacent to the Baseball and Band fields is our beautiful softball facility.  Complete with a well-manicured, red brick dust infield and a striped, natural grass outfield, the field is the home for the Warren Softball program and a sense of pride for Warrior nation.  Recent upgrades to the facility include a new scoreboard, new fencing, the installation of a safety net for the protection of spectators, new batting cages, and various other cosmetic improvements around the facility.  Construction of bullpens and bringing symmetry to the outfield fence by moving back right field and shortening left field is in the planning phases.

Football Practice Field

Located on the northeast corner of the campus is a regulation football natural grass practice field for use by our High School, Junior High and Youth football programs.  The facility is nestled in the valley below the Band field and is bordered by beautiful, mature pines on two sides and the Baseball field to the south.  The facility is equipped with goal posts, a scoreboard, a covered two floor observation tower, and storage buildings for storing practice equipment.

Band Field

A well-maintained, grass, regulation size football field, complete with an observation tower and a storage building, is on campus and available for daily practices for the Warriors Marching Band.  Overlooking the entire outdoor sports complex, the field is lined during the competition season, and serves as a dedicated practice area for the Marching Warriors.
